Theme:Fun ways to use XCamEntry 1587: I put the cam
in the rear window of my motor home. This way I can see my wife waving her arms as I back
into a parking spot. I now can see her but have no idea what her hand signals mean. -- Bob
Jones
Entry 1590: A great way to use XCam for
fun is to leave it up and running when the grand children do not think it is on. You get
some of the best faces, and unexpected experiences, like the baby peeing on the floor. --
Leigh Blatter
Entry 4:Mount the camera on a stick or a
pole for inspecting difficult/small places (like down a chimney), behind things you can't
see behind, or around corners. -- Tom Springer
Entry 7:Hide in the back of the
refrigerator behind the beer stash, so I can see which one of my roommates deadbeat
moochers are stealing my beer! -- John Sorrentino
Entry 10: Being assistant director of a
puppet troupe, I think an XCam would be great for mounting in a inconspicuous place
outside of a puppet stage, letting our puppets "see" who they are talking to!
Imagine the look of surprize when a puppet suddenly looks straight at someone, and says
"hey, you in the blue shirt! just what do you think is so funny?" -- Tyrone Olds
Entry 57:I plan to record parties and send
out digital movies to people who came to remind them of what a good time they had! -- Sean
Hussey
Entry 498:Take any other entry, hook it up
to an ATI all-in-wonder pro video capture card, use it with Real-Video producer and stream
the video to your web-server. -- Dale Osborn
Entry 652:A great way to use XCam for fun
is to use it like you would a camcorder to video tape family events and watching your
children grow up. all you need to do is attach the XCam to your VCR. -- Fr. James Batcha
Entry 93:A great way for my wife & I
to use the XCam would be to place it in our 9 month old daughters room to capture pictures
of her we can get using a normal camera. Our daughter though very young knows what a
camera is for so she will not carry on with her playing activities when she sees that
camera or camcorder a friend loaned us. We often miss so of the most precious pictures we
could ever want of her growing up & playing, because she concentrates on the person
with the camera. This would be a super terrific way to catch these extraordinary moments
as well as monitor her from other rooms as she gets older to be sure she doesn't get into
something that could harm her. I personally would like to catch my daughter & her
mother playing together without them knowing it, since her mother is camera shy as well.
-- Kenneth J. Kelley
Entry 147:Place it at the front door. When someone rings
the door bell, look to see who it is, then you can choose to answer or not. Great
security. You don't have to open the door, just talk through the door or don't answer if
you don't know who it is! -- David A. Golden
Entry 714:Everyday my fellow worker heads
for the lunch room at exactly noon and turns on the TV to watch the news. We setup a video
cam and reprogrammed the TV channels so that the only show she could watch was herself
watching TV. It worked great for laughs.... -- Clyde Duffy
Entry 720: The kids are using the XCam to
send their images to the other TVs in our house. It really startles their friends to see
them acting and dancing live. Thanks x10. These products are very enjoyable. -- David
Fisher
Entry 312:Party cam! I often have large
groups of people at my house, and an ideal way to capture the moment would be XCam. with
four XCams positioned throughout the party, an x10 remote, and some capture software, I
could take my party onto the internet. -- Kris Stubsten
Entry 462:A great way I use the XCam for
fun is buy monitoring my kids while they are grounded! This lets me see what they are
doing, and I even can record it in case they dispute it. Boy this is the greatest thing
invented to help my parenting skills. Thanks x10! -- Kevin Wilson |
