Today's Entries Entry 388: "I can't do this with you in the car!" my 18 year-old daughter nearly screamed. She was clearly frustrated and an hour of my telling her what to do wasn't helping her to learn to parallel park. I pushed away the coming headache by rubbing my temples and then it hit me. I had the technology!! In no time I was inside my house and out again with an XCam anywhere, an extension cord, an adjustable DC cigarette lighter power adapter and my little 2.5 LCD TV. I set up the XCam behind the car so it would show what happens as my daughter backed up the car. I put the receiver unit, powered by the DC adapter in the car attached to the little TV on the dashboard. "now," I said. "I'm leaving you on your own. the XCam will show you what happens when you turn the steering wheel and move the car. You'll figure it out." A half-hour later, she came bounding into the kitchen and gave me a big kiss. "Thanks, dad." was all she said. -- Ira Brickman
Entry 408: this would be a new twist on an old game. first find a comfortable place on the couch. next get a $5 bill and tied to some string. put the money on the side walk outside your house. point the "xcam anywhere" in the direction of the bill. run the string back to your couch and wait for someone to come along and just as they grab it pull it away, haha. they will never know it was you. nolan finn -- Nolan finn
Entry 353: quite simple -- kid cam. attach the camera to your child's hat and keep an eye on him -- he will think it's cool that he is a "remote live reporter". it will be like the neighborhood newspapers i used to do as a kid, but my son will be doing the neighborhood tv show. using streaming audio/video we can have a neighborhood web page/tv station. -- Brian cronk
Entry 346: wonder who dropped by your home while you were at work? mount a motion detector and x-cam near your front door and trigger a snapshot of your visitor and record it on your computer hard drive. you can then "push" it up to a web site so that you can check it out from your desk at work. -- David dohm
Entry 348: x10 lets me to be in two places at the same time and watch a lot of secret stuff. -- Rasheeda parvin
