Entry 492: okay here's what you do what you need is the xcam anywhere, a vcr, a power inverter (sold at radioshack) a car, and a poor unsuspecting sap. you plug the power inverter into the cigarette lighter of the car then plug the vcr into the power inverter. hook up the recieving end of the video sender to the vcr and the sending end to the xcam hide them in a bag. make sure the camera can see out through some kind of whole. then drive around and when you find an unsuspecting sap pull over have someone stay in the car have some one get out and walk with the bag and have another act like a total fool. have him walk up the the "poor sap" and ask them thing that make no sense like "have you ever seen the purple dog stealing a look at a brown leged car" you know nonsense. or better yet have a group of people in suits and ties walk around down town and have the person with the bag stay ahead a bit and film the people on the streets reactions. the thing here is that the men in suits should have "problems" such as a phisical disability or just not be quite dressed (have there tie undone and shirt open missing shoes pant legs roled up. and don't have them walk have them hopping and have one yell "charge" or "on ward men we go to victory". in other word have a bunch of suits look and act like a bunch of dissabled drunken midevil knights. -- Farrell baird Votes 231

Entry 306: i believe the most humorous and candid video clips come from children looking into an un-manned, fixed camera, that is mounted in a blatantly obvious recording position. the element of halloween would make it especially interesting as the camera could be incorporated into a frightening skit/scene, such as a man trapped beneath a car begging for assistance. the trapped man could advise the children to "call for help" on his behalf to the camera mounted near the front door somewhere. when they approach the camera the trapped man (using another remote device) could play a recorded crash sound and start screaming with sounds of excruiating pain. once the children had recorded their pleas for help, someone could step out of the house and offer them some candy and reassurance that the man is a little deranged but otherwise alright. -- Louis eder Votes  111

Entry 617: a great halloween use for the camera would be to somehow incorporate it into your costume. you could pretend it is a robot eye and attach it to a helmet. run the wires from the camera into a backpack which would contain the video sender and a battery pack. have a friend waiting nearby (in the car perhaps) with the video reciever and a vcr. now you could really have a blast at that halloween party you've been invited to and see how much you can scare or embarass your friends and you'll have it all on tape to show them later! matt -- Matt dorn Votes so far: 65

Entry 7: Normally, I have my X-Cam set up with webcam software so that I can watch my dog over the Internet from the desk at my office. It was too dark in the room to see properly, so I used my Firecracker X-10 controller along with some custom software that I wrote into my web server so that I could turn on a light remotely. I can now control all of my X-10 stuff through my home web server, so I set up my stereo with an X-10 appliance controller, so that from my office I can turn it on and make it play a Mini disc with a recording of my voice yelling "get off the couch!!!" at high volume. you can see all of this online (and turn the light on for yourself) at http://www.nerosoft.com/nerocam.html. However, with Halloween fast approaching, I will make a slight modification: With a Hawkeye motion sensor at the front door, I'll have the camera point out through the curtains. When the sensor detects someone approaching, it triggers the stereo directly, playing 30 seconds of scary music, while the X-Cam broadcasts their reactions to the Internet. Watch for it on October 31st!--Scott MacLean Votes 63
