What's the Best Application for X10 (ActiveHome) in the
Bedroom?
Entry 24: As morning dawned and the alarm clock buzzed, my X10 system was
already at work. My curtains opened and the lights came on. My TV automatically came on to
my favorite news channel and my walk-in closet doors opened and those lights came on,
inviting me to dress for the day. At least I won't miss that meeting by oversleeping again
and waking this way is a lot less stressful. Something all of us can use. Now that things
are taken care of here, I might as well go downstairs and see if my X10 system started my
coffee maker, but do I really have to ask? X10 always pulls through. -- Laurie Luberti Votes:

Entry 4: I have to wake up at 3:00 A.M. for work, and sometimes I am so tired
that I don't hear the clock radio. I would use X10 to turn all of the lights on at the
same time the radio goes off, to help me rise. -- Joyce Bogoian Votes: 188
Entry 189: Got sooo many things to do got to take the kids to school, got to
feel and water the animals, and water the garden, all before I go, and I still don't have
dinner done!!!! not to worry X10 can help it will water the animals and the garden, and
even the yard and flowers for me. Thanks X10 -- Dalinda Mefford Votes: 44
Entry 36: The perfect bedroom scene would be a macros to control a socket
rocket on the lamp set to turn off, a decorator dimmer switch for the ceiling lamp set to
10%, a wall outlet set to turn on the radio to just the right station, and another set to
turn on the vibrators on the water bed. All this triggered by a Hawkeye ii motion sensor
for obvious reasons... (of course if you had a nice bedroom with a gas fireplace that
would be on the macro as well...) -- Chris Kopchak Votes: 35
Entry 186: my yard is a almost a total joy with the X10 system. The lawn gets watered
starting at 3:30 am, the gardens after that at 6am. By 7:30 am the pool heater turns on
and raises the water temp by 10am for my morning swim. Now if I could only figure a way
for X10 to start the lawnmower and cut my grass, then life would be perfect. -- Kathy
