Entry 114: anyone can see the obvious benefit of opening the garage door and turning on the garage lights with the slimfire, but i'm much more lazy than that! once the yardwork is done, activehome and the second set of buttons goes into action. from my double-wide hammock, i turn on the stereo, close the garage door, turn on the sprinklers, and crank up the air conditioning. when i wake up from my nap, the yard's watered and the house is nice and cool. all from one little button! -- Jeffrey herr Votes: 67

Entry 44: are you wondering *who's that girl* with the sleek slimfire tucked in her bustier? it's me, the *material girl.* yeah, i reach *into the groove* as soon as i cross the *borderline* of my estate, and push one little button and i see a *ray of light* greeting me and the basketball team after a long *holiday.* my mansion has stayed secure because x10 activehome is protects me *like a prayer* and keeps it looking occupied so i can *live to tell* about it later. so, *papa don't preach* that i need to hire a bodyguard, because my house is lit up by my *lucky star.* i *cherish* x10's activehome and slimfire remote! the reliability and convenience of this system is sought after and rare, just *like a virgin.* -- Linda pescatore Votes: 33

Entry 115: activehome and slimfire. there is nothing left to say! -- Steven boothe Votes: 27

Entry 368: my other hobby (other than home automation) is hot air ballooning. as we normally fly in the hour or two right after sunrise or before sunset, we are getiing up in the dark or returning home in the dark. i plan to use 'activehome' to setup macros for those early morning (usually around 4:30am) wakeups things that have to be done are - lights on - turn on hot water heater (it is already on an x10 220 module) - start coffee - turn on computer - check faa weather site using online software - start heaters on propane tanks (during the cold season) - turn on lights in the trailer shed - get everything loaded - roll down the driveway this is of course a very condensed list and each item can be automated thru X10 hardware/software. then as we leave the house (and yes it is still dark), i can use the 'slimfire' to turn off all thos lights, or just let 'activehome' do it at sunup after those late evening flights, i can even have all the lights on, the hot water ready to sooth my aching bones (that balloon is heavy loading onto the trailer). i envision using a 1 button macro to do all of the initial items -- Bob rhodes Votes: 23

Entry 411: my young son is bothered by darkness when he goes to get ready for bed. by using the x10 products, i could give him a slimfire remote and let him use the remote to turn on the hall light and his bedroom light. not only has the scary darkness been taken away, he would be preoccupied with the remote, taking his mind off his fear of the darkness. -- S crump Votes:18
