Entry 105: Instant
security! often, you need security in rooms that are not pre-wired.
place a couple of xcam2 in strategic locations, and set your
favorite security guard in the closet with a few monitors. -- Wayne
Brill
Entry 77: two
xcam2's can be used in conjunction with motion sensors as a
monitoring tool. one set would be placed pointing at the driveway
and one set inside at the front door. this way you can monitor what
time your teenagers get home, while you are sleeping. you can also
see what they do outside before they come in. -- Andrew Brake
Entry 52: point
it at the fish tank. when there's nothing on (99% of the time) you
can at least watch a home version of wild kingdom! -- Paul d.
Entry 102: i
have not seen my uncle in over 4 years because he and my new aunt he
married who i have never seen live in hong kong! and i live in the
us. so i would hook up the handy x10 cameras in my house so that i
could get videos and send it to my aunt and uncle. and then try to
get them to buy some x10 cameras too so that they could send me some
video of them. then i would also put the x10 out of my brothers
window, and also a sensor, so whenever the mailman came, it would
turn on the sensor which would do an alarm, and i would just turn on
the tv and be able to see the mail man. it would save me lots of
time from hafting to walk out to the mail box, just to find out he
hasn't come! -- Brian smith
Entry 21: earn
some extra money. offer your services to set up wireless surveilance
on a contract basis to businesses that may have internal theft
problems. this could work out to be a very profitable part time
business to set up. -- Frank h. schleyer
